Hat

Little kid keeps finding things, playing with them for a while, and them putting them on her head and saying "Hat"  (I'm thinking Kenny might be at this stage - Gloria is.)
Then the mother sees her and does something fun with her with each different "hat" on.
Thinking the fun things should have an order - like husking corn (maybe a small burlap bag on her head that held the corn.) then something from braiding corn husks - then maybe something like a sewing basket, then maybe a old birds nest or something - and the last picture is a hat her and her mom made from all the things maybe with feathers or wildflowers in it. (corn husks work really well to braid and make "straw" out of to make a hat) then they go out to the garden and work with her hat on.
Throughout the book, in the background pictures you see previous "hats" turned into funny things for them to be used for - but things that are relevant to what they were doing when she used the "hat" - kind of like a memory picture of good times she had with her mom.
The last page doesn't have any words on it, but shows the new hat they made with flowers planted in it - maybe as a hanging basket or something.
Or maybe it could show that and then in the background the little kid finds something else new and interesting that her foot fits into ... "Shoe".
